Avila Beach

During the off-season, Avila Beach is kind of quiet and ghost towny, and there are lot of cottages for sale in the area. There are lots of cute shops around and the sandy beach is only dog-friendly outside the hours of 10am-5pm. If you do decide to bring your dogs out during that time, expect local old geezers to yell and shake their fist at you, just as I witnessed yesterday. Still, it was a really pleasant place to go for a walk and there are two long piers to venture out too!
