There was some time between brunch and an appointment so my lady friend and I headed over to Starbucks to get a hot cup of coffee and some work done. Unfortunately, it was absolutely packed and there were no seats inside at all. Instead, we decided to walk over to Beanery in hopes that there would be a place to sit indoors while enjoying a hot beverage. They've got a few dog-friendly outdoor tables off the sidewalk but it was way too wet to sit outside.
The menu is kind of small and uninteresting so I ordered their special pumpkin latte. The pumpkin flavors were pleasant and there was a lot of spice in it which reminded me of the holidays. Is it actually pumpkin season right now?

While their pumpkin latte was decent, the service was a bit rude and they don't offer WiFi nor accept credit cards. What's the point of a hanging out at a café on a rainy day if it doesn't offer internet access? Beanery is just alright in my book but isn't a place I can see myself going to regularly for the lack of internet and other things. I heard Good Earth has WiFi so if Starbucks is busy the next time I'm in the area, I'll be heading there instead.
