After a day of being a fatty in the Mission, my buddy and I needed to cool off and relieve ourselves from the heat. We ducked into Bi-Rite Market to check out some of the unique drinks and find a cool libation to chill out with.

I decided to try a big ass bottle of tangerine Italian soda and my friend got a grapefruit soda made with 62% juice and 38% fizzy water. They were both totally refreshing and decently affordable. The grapefruit soda packs quite a tart bite to it and there's no doubt that it's mostly juice.

This isn't your mama's grocery store and some of the prices are out of this world. However, they've got stuff there I've never even heard of before and it's definitely worth a shot. They serve sandwiches from the deli and you're welcome to enjoy them outside at the dog-friendly table if you're lucky enough to snag the seat. I would totally shop here everyday but I'd go broke in the process. At least it would be delicious!
