Bovine Bakery

As you walk down the main street of town, it is impossible to miss the long line of customers patiently waiting to purchase their baked goods from the Bovine Bakery. As you walk up and in, the first thing you notice is the smell of freshly baked confections. As seemingly the only place in town that opens past 3pm, my friend and I decided to make it a stop to grab dessert after lunch, and bring some cookies with us on our hike through Point Reyes.

At nearly $2 each, the cookies are not cheap. They did have a great selection though and there were many cookies to choose from including oatmeal chocolate chip, raisin, peanut butter, and many more. Ultimately I wanted something relatively unique as a dessert to the large lunch and settled on a ginger cookie. With the hopes of aiding in digestion, my cookie was very tasty but didn't have quite the bite I was looking for, but instead had a much more subdued flavor.

The service was excellent and the lovely ladies of the Bovine Bakery were extremely helpful in narrowing down the choices for me to make a selection. The bakery was very busy all day and for great reasons, and will definitely be a stop for whenever I visit Point Reyes Station in the future. They've got some nice benches right outside so my dog will be joining me on my next trip!
