I was meeting up with an acquaintance visiting from San Diego and we decided to meet up in SOMA to catch up. She was in town for a big concert and it was a good opportunity to try a new, highly rated place downtown.
I ordered the ham sandwich, which was nearly $10. It was served on a small ciabatta roll and no sides. It was pretty expensive for what it was, but it tasted pretty good. Still, for a sandwich with only a stack of ham and 2 slices of apple, I felt a little bit cheated.
Overall the experience was good, but it definitely isn't a place to get a meal. They have some delicious-looking pastries in the window which I'll have to try next time, but I don't think I'll be back for the expensive sandwiches. There's some pet-friendly people-watching tables out front but it's usually too cold and windy on New Montgomery St to enjoy them.
