Cafe Verrazzano

When meeting up with one of the greatest business minds in San Diego, I needed a place convenient for both of us, with a great environment for chatting and brainstorming. With little nearby that would suit our needs, we chose Cafe Verrazzano for its privacy and great reviews.

Being my first time there, I went with the house's recommendation of the popular Chiaramonte sandwich for $8.95. Served on sourdough with grilled chicken, pesto, tomatoes, provolone, and sweet red onions, and a side of kettle chips, the sandwich was extremely flavorful and the tender chicken really popped with the pesto. To compliment the sandwich, I also tried their acai smoothie made with apple juice for $4.95. I'm not sure if really berries were used but it was very smooth, and you could really taste the velvety acai.

We enjoyed our sandwiches at the outside table area where you're more than welcome to bring your well-behaved pet. It was a pleasure to buy lunch for my newest mentor and the food was very tasty, albeit quite expensive. I learned a ton in the short time I had with him and discovered a great new cafe in the mean time. Service alone would keep me coming back and I look forward to my next visit.
