I had a lot of work to do and needed a place with a decent Internet connection to do it in while my gal pal helped her friend move. Coffee Society was one of her favorite places growing up so that's where we headed after breakfast next door.
I decided to try their Almond Rocaccino, which is basically an expensive Almond Roca-flavored Frappuccino. It was pretty tasty, but the flavor was syrup-based instead of being derived from the candy itself. Still, it wasn't too bad but I do think it could have been improved if it was maybe topped with some crushed Almond Roca.
As busy as this shop is, they are terribly understaffed. It took about 10 minutes to finally take my order, and was so long that my girlfriend ended up just walking out without her coffee at all. It's a super popular place and their coffee is decent and it's a bummer that the service is so slow. They've got a nice, big, dog-friendly patio where people love to enjoy their coffee and a conversation in the sun. There's plenty of parking in the center too and a great study spot if you're a De Anza student.
