Comforts

When you're looking for some great comfort foods, look no further than Comforts in San Anselmo. They serve up lots of the stuff that your mom makes at home for family dinners, but now you can have it anytime, for a price. The large patio is also nice for bringing your dog out to and they can join you under the table.

With so many things to choose from, the meal decision was a difficult one. I ended up trying the almond crusted pork chop with a side of Comforts' famous Chinese chicken salad. Sold by weight, the pork chop was delicious. The almond crust could have been a bit crispier, but it definitely hit the spot, and despite the fact that I'd never tried it before, reminded me in some way of home. The Chinese chicken salad is extremely fresh and the portion size is huge. Being one of their most popular items, they were flying out of the restaurant and into some happy bellies. The secret is in the dressing and has a special tang that brings it all together. It's some good stuff and I would highly recommend it.

Comforts does not have the most affordable meals on the planet, but sometimes you just want that something that reminds you of home. For that, it's an awesome little Marin staple that, until now, you couldn't leave home without. Even your pup will appreciate a little chicken salad once in a while and I'm sure will be happy to clean up anything you happen to drop on the ground. It's that good!
