Cotixan Mexican Food

Having a buddy visit from the Bay Area is always fun and one of the must do things when they come to visit includes grabbing a burrito at the nearest all night Mexican joint. For convenience sake, we decided to grab some burritos from the Cotixan's on the corner.

After quickly browsing the menu we decided to split 2 breakfast burritos, one with chorizo and the other with machaca. Of the two, I definitely enjoyed the sausage more. It had much fuller flavor and was more satisfying to eat. That's not to say the machaca wasn't good as well, but I think the vegetables overpowered the flavor and presence of the shredded beef. Plus, I typically prefer sausage for breakfast as well.

Overall, this Cotixan location was actually very satisfying. Their entire "dining" room is outside and dog-friendly. The reasonable price, double drive-thrus, and close proximity to home all make it an attractive, and sobering, place to eat at any hour. Ever since I graduated from college, I haven't really been able to find a burrito that comes close to the size and value of an OVT burrito. While Cotixan's can't touch the sheer girth of the campus version, the value is definitely there.
