Cream Coffee Bar

I had been hearing a lot about Cream from friends and, as somebody who works from home, recommended it as a great spot to get some stuff done. I happened to already be in the University Heights area for a meeting so I decided to drop in to see what all the fuss is about.

Before getting down to business, I decided to try their Tropical Cyclone smoothie. Filled with blended mangos, papayas, strawberries, pineapples, banana, and orange juice, the smoothie left a slightly dry taste in my mouth. It was full of flavor, but probably isn't going to be a favorite of mine here.

As a café, Cream was pretty average and sort of resembles an urban, coworking space. There are tons of people on their laptops and plenty of tables and outlets to choose from, and I'm told there are lots of people working on independent startup companies who camp here. There's a pretty good amount of outdoor seating so chilling here with your dog is not a problem. WiFi speeds are impressive considering how many people are connected to their network and it's generally a pretty solid place to get some work done. For that reason alone, I would definitely come to check this place out again. However, unless I was already in the area, I probably wouldn't go that far out of my way.
