There is nothing too special or unique about the food, but Crepevine is a good solid choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Just about everything on the menu is less than $10, w00t! I was a bit disappointed by their crepe selection though. I thought there would be more variety, since "crepe" is right in their name...but most of their menu was taken up by other things... sandwiches, pastas, pancakes, etc.

The location and decor are great. Right on the main drag in downtown San Rafael, with very cute Parisian-style, dog-friendly sidewalk seating. Next time, if it's warmer out, I'd happily opt to sit on the patio.

After a fun Meetup at one of the worst local pizza fusions, my girlfriend and I were a tad hungry and wanted a late meal. By checking out Crepevine, we had meant to grab a light meal, but it turned pretty quick when we stepped up to the menu board.

Instead of ordering any crepes, we opted for pasta. I've had bad experiences in the past with poor quality, pre-made crepes from the SF Crepevine and didn't want to repeat the experience. I went with the fettuccine with cream sauce and salmon. When it arrived, I was shocked by how much food was piled on the plate for less than $10. This was a deal indeed. The pasta was al dente and had a nice cream sauce, and the bit o spinach and salmon added welcome flavors to bring everything together.

Cashier service was ok, but our server was excellent. I rarely leave a tip at fast casual restaurants but all of our needs were attended to with a smile. They have a large outdoor patio that practically beckons for you to bring your dog and it's not uncommon for you to see others with their pooches staring up at their companion's crepes. This was definitely a better experience than last time, but ironically I didn't enjoy any crepes. The only ones I would consider are probably the dessert crepes, fully loaded for under $6.
