It was at that weird part of the day where you're hungry but it's a little too late for breakfast but early for lunch. Seeking something hearty, I decided on a compromise and grab a breakfast burrito from El Patron. Luckily they had a special breakfast burrito and a drink for only $3.99 and I was instantly sold.
The burrito was filled with ham, eggs, cheese, beans, and sour cream, and I had to dump as much of the delicious guaca salsa as could fit inside. Together, it made for just the combination of flavors that I needed for the summer day and the drink was a really sweet kicker to the package. This was definitely one of the best deals in town.
El Patron needs to compete with the likes of In-N-Out which is located in the same plaza, a tall order for any business. But through good food and great value, it pulls off the trick nicely. There's a single lonely table outside where you can tie your pup up as you lunch too. The service may be really slow and uninterested in their customers, but this isn't the kind of place for that anyway. However, if you want a cheap and satisfying meal, you've come to the right spot.
