Harumi Sushi

My friend and I had a really early dinner and became hungry again in the late even so we pulled into Harumi for some small bites. Unfortunately, that's simply not how we roll and before you knew it, we had a ton of food to gobble down. This place is mostly known for their cheap sake bombs and even the staff likes to get in on the action sometimes. "When I say sake, you say bomb!"

I ordered the roll combo with a California roll, spicy tuna roll, and an eel roll, served with miso soup. Extremely basic, it was decently priced at $15 and it was nice to satiate my fix for sushi. The quality was just alright though. My friend ordered a bulgogi bento with mixed tempura and salmon sashimi. The bulgogi was very dry and under-marinated, and was a bit disappointing. I hate wasting food so when she wasn't able to finish her meal, I gladly polished it off.

Overall, the service was kind but pretty inattentive most of the time. The food was mostly pretty mellow and bland, but I think it would be a fun place to come for a birthday party. It's not cheap for Japanese food either, so bring at least $20 to cure those hunger pangs!
