Needing a little break from exploring Julian during the day, I saw a sign advertising $2 milkshakes and it was a deal that was difficult to pass up. My friend and I dropped in to find a long line building and figured it was a pretty popular place. Instead, we found that the service was simply slow.
I was finally able to order and got the small strawberry shake. I was relieved to find that they used real ice cream in their shakes instead of having the mixer pump it out of a machine. It had decent flavor but was disappointed that the shake was barely filled to the top, and then topped off with too much whipped cream.
The service is crazy slow and they're totally under-powered here. They could definitely use a better system for serving guests. There's some really cramped indoor seating but the place to be is outside at the table or benches with your pup, and doing some people watching. The weather is usually great so get outside and explore Julian!
