It was a beautiful weekend in the Bay so my lady and I cruised out to the East Bay to grab some grub and do some shopping. She had come out the week before to do the same with her sister and came with some great recommendations.
First stop was the House of Curries. We shared the chicken tikka masala and the curried peas with paneer with naan and rice. The tikka masala was tasty and I liked that it had a mild sour flavor to it. The paneer could have been softer, but wasn't too bad. The naan was soft and chewy and was great for dipping in the curry sauce.
House of Curries totally reminds me of a less expensive Naan & Curry, and I think they're related in some way. They've got a nice patio outside that was perfect for the lovely day and they whole heartedly welcome your dogs. It's about 8 blocks from campus, but if I was a CAL student, I'd be here all the time. It was very good stuff!
