The closure of the Bay Bridge was making a bit difficult to get back to San Francisco from Marin so a few of us decided to meet up at the "brew co" for a few handcrafted pints. This was a popular hangout back in high school, though nobody could actually order anything back then, and I hadn't been back in several years.
I tried the blueberry ale which left the faintest hints of the fruit on the tip of my tongue. We also decided to order some thick cut garlic fries. They weren't nearly as spicy as we had expected and asked for an extra side of garlic to supplement the flavor. The brew and fries definitely complimented each other nicely. By the time we finished, the traffic had let up and we hit the road back to the city.
MBC is a great place to hang out with a few old friends and kick back over micro. There's even a big outdoor area where you can enjoy a beer with your pet while people watching gym folks. Depending on who's around though your pooch might have to chill on the other side of the barrier. The food is a bit on the pricey side but the beers are just right. There are many breweries in California but there are few as famous as Marin's and I highly recommend dropping in if you're in the area or just need to wait out the traffic of a bridge closure.
