After enjoying a beautiful brunch at Prepkitchen, my friend and I decided to take a peek across the way at the dessertier in the same plaza. It was hidden away in the back of the plaza, but easy to spot once you look past their dog-friendly outdoor tables.
We poked our heads in to peer at the display case and her eye caught hold of the rack of delicate macaroons so we had no choice but to pick a few of the pretty petits fours up for the road. The macaroons were perfectly bite-sized and were flavored with berries and chocolate and melted effortlessly in your mouth.
I may not be a pastry expert, but I really enjoyed this little sandwich cookies. At $1.50 each, they're definitely not a cheap treat, but great to enjoy once in a while. It made for an excellent dessert for our delicious brunch next door and I look forward to enjoying both again.
