MIHO Gastrotruck

The mobile food truck biz is blowing up and MIHO Gastrotruck is the gourmet version of this new rage. Sourcing local, quality ingredients and serving some high end recipes, this is one truck that stands out from its competition. However, how does it stand up?

I decided to try their farm fresh burger, highly recommended by the cashier. It didn't take that long to prepare and when I received it, came medium. If I had a choice I would have ordered it medium rare, but now I'm just splitting hairs. You could definitely taste the quality in the meat and the deliciously grilled onions really set this sandwich off. I heard that the other items weren't as good as the burger so I guess I chose well, but it wasn't without its disappointments.

My biggest complaints would definitely have to be the price (almost $8!) and the quantity. There just wasn't much meat for some that cost $8 off a truck. While it tasted great, the juxtaposition of the burger and the truck threw me off and I couldn't help but feel like I was overpaying in a huge way. Even though you can pretty much enjoy this truck anywhere outdoors, making it very dog-friendly, much better burgers could be had for far less. Even though those other sandwiches aren't as mobile, I will have to take a pass on this the next time it rolls around.
