I'm definitely not a morning person and constantly have trouble pulling myself out of bed before the sun is directly over me. However, this morning I wanted to attend a gathering of local young professionals to chat about social media and willed my body to make the early morning pilgrimage to fill my body with coffee, pastries, and imported South African Sally Williams candies. Once I made it out to the general area, the café itself was extremely difficult to pinpoint and nobody on the street seemed to know where it was. Even my GPS seemed to lead me astray but a quick call to the shop for directions soon remedied that.

I decided to get some of my favorite hazelnut coffee. I haven't quite graduated to the level of coffee connoisseur yet and can't really tell the difference between one brew and the other so it is difficult for me to critique them, especially when I've preloaded it with syrup, sugar, and cream. As far as I'm concerned then, coffee is just coffee and all the same to me.

While the coffee may not have stuck out during this visit, the area is pretty nice, albeit a bit pretentious. I didn't get a chance to try their breakfast sandwiches, but from the aroma of things it certainly smelled good. The cafe is really student friendly and there is a large outdoor area that has a bunch of tables to read at or for taking a breather while walking your dog. I will definitely have to come back to try a pastry with my coffee next time. However, they sort of look like the kind you might find at Costco, and if that's the case, the food will be just as lackluster as the coffee.
