We came for their "special" valentines day menu which offered one appetizer, two entrees, and one dessert to share for $40. We went for the spring rolls, which were ok, but kind of dry and not fresh at all. The peanut sauce was ok though. For our entrees, we shared the salmon curry and the shrimp with asparagus. They dumped the brown rice on the plates so it was a little more complicated to "share" then I'm used to. The flavors were ok though but the salmon was a bit overcooked and there were tough stalky bits o asparagus that needed to be spat out. At $18 on the regular menu, I wouldn't order the salmon again though. We shared the sweet sticky rice with custard for dessert, which was the best part of the meal, though it doesn't really say much. Overall, I was very disappointed with the food.
As it turns out, the "special" menu is one big overpriced sham. In fact, ordering the same dishes from the regular menu would have been much, much cheaper (by about 20%!). The service was definitely the worst part of the experience and it was ssssllllloooooowwwwww. The dining room was definitely not busy but dishes took forever to arrive and the hostesses and waitresses were clueless and clucking away. What the hell was this crap? Next time, I'm just gonna cook at home. Even the dog-"friendly" patio outside isn't worth coming back for because by the time I get my people food, the poor dog would have starved by then.
