I ordered their popular "eggs in jail" dish, which is just two eggs in a hole cut out in their signature bread served with bacon and salad. I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive at first considering how much of a hipster joint this is, but it's quite good. Their bread is spectacular and apparently these folks learned to back in Tartine's own kitchens, producing a true rival. Flavors were spot on though prices were a tad on the high side and anything with alcohol in it is novelly priced for a place like this. However, the lines don't lie, this place is pretty damn good.
What's awesome is how much outdoor seating they have here and under heatlamps to boot. They're super dog friendly and just about every other table was joined by a canine pal. I even spotted my favorite Mythbuster, Kari Byron! She was waiting just like everybody else and I can't say that I blame her. I personally don't know if I'd be willing to wait 2 hours for brunch, but luckily my girlfriend lives nearby and we can get there early enough to put our name on the list.
