Petco

Their pet supply selection was okay. You'll find the usual stuff. They also sell live pets - birds, guinea pigs (so cute!!!), rats, mice, hamsters, turtles, frogs, geckos, fish, and hermit crabs. It's good to see they make an effort to get their animals from humane and reputable sources. Bonus points for having a huge lot with tons of parking!

I love all animals and I love dropping into local Petco to browse around. I'm on a search to find my new best friend and Deb L. and I decided to stop by and look around.

They had all kinds of great birds and rodents looking for a new home and we hung around the guinea pigs remembering the late Gimbo for some time. I had never really played with guinea pigs before but Deb assured me that they all had unique personalities and loved running around. Gotta watch out when they scoot into tight covered spaces though because they tend to do their business there.

There was a slight bummer with their small fish with tons of dead ones sucken to the bottom with other fish feeding on the carrion. That can't be good, and there was nobody around to clean up the problem. Overall, I'd call this a so-so Petco and a little extra TLC could go a long way.
