It was a rare beautiful day in SOMA and a nice day for eating at one of the great local eateries. My girlfriend wanted to grab some grub at the Caribbean cafe around the corner so we scooted through the narrow corridors that opened to a busy patio out back.

We share the jerk chicken and jerk steak entrees. I found the jerk chicken to be extremely flavorful and tender, while the steak was a bit tough to eat. The sauce was a nice contrast to the jerk flavor though but I found many piece of dried rice throughout. I sadly even found a hair in my chicken...

Service was a bit rushed and we were sat right in the middle so the sun was baking us as we ate. I don't know if I'd get the platters again since I think the better values are the pita sandwiches. It's a nice getaway from the city life and a pleasant lunch. Cone early to avoid the crowds!
