Ranchos Cocina North Park

My buddy just got back from Afghanistan and I was super excited to finally see him again. We decided to get a group together to try this Mexican vegetarian joint (they have lots of meat dishes too) and catch up on old times.

I ordered the trio of enchiladas, served with rice and beans. There was one each of the chicken, beef, and cheese, but all of their flavors just sort of blended together and I couldn't really taste a heck of a lot. The sentiment seemed to be shared across our table and only one of us liked our dish. My buddy's chimichanga was popular so if I come back, I guess I will give that a try. The enchiladas themselves were only warm and that certainly didn't help things. Everything totally lacked a distinct flavor and I was completely underwhelmed.

While the service was kind, it was also kind of slow, and they even forgot my friends' sangrias. Their got a tiny patio where you can sit with your dog, but I'm not sure there's much that ultimately doesn't look, and sort of taste, like something your furry pal would thoroughly enjoy. This is just another North Park restaurant that's let me down and I'm fast losing faith that I'll find some I really like in this neighborhood.
