It was an amazing day in the city so my girlfriend and I decided to head out to the Ferry Building farmer’s market for some lunch. There are so many choices it can be hard to decide, but the crazy long line drew us to the Roli Roti truck. For some reason I think of Indian food whenever I see this truck at farmers' markets, and it’s not immediately the thing I want when eating outside, but I was starving and figured hey, let's give it a try!
We shared the pork sandwich and chicken combo. I loved the crispiness of the pork skin in the sandwich as well as those delicious fingerling potatoes. The chicken was super tender but it lacked a bit of differentiation in flavor from most other rotisserie chickens from the chains. For less than $10, it's one of the better meal deals at this market and it's certainly worth a try.
Overall, I enjoyed the meal and it’s certainly at one of the most beautiful places in the city. It’s so great to get outside and on the waterfront to enjoy some gourmet organic foods once in a while. If i worked in the area, I’d definitely be there at least three times a week!
