Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill

My buddy came back to SD and we decided to grab some brunch at Rubio's and catch up a bit. This Rubio's tables are crazy close together but the dog-friendly tables outside were wet so we resolved to being cramped in with the rest of the lunch crowd.

I ordered the chicken burrito especial which was whipped up in record time despite the crowd. I liked that the ingredients were all very fresh and there were large slices of avocado in the burrito and the black beans were firm instead of mush.

The service here was stellar but unfortunately, like most parking lots, the dining room would benefit from the removal of one or two tables to provide space for ample privacy. As it is, they're only 6-inches away from each other and that makes having a conversation quite difficult. I may be back for the service, but I will be sitting outside next time.
