Something about this place really appeals to me, and I think it's the super casual vibe and sunshine. Plus they have a pretty spacious, doggie friendly patio outside, and a parking lot. No-fuss diner plus a spot to soak up the rays plus full tummy = win. The food is decent - nothing spectacular - but their specials looked interesting. The fig waffle looked ammaaazing.

My girlfriend and I were meeting up in Potrero for a friend's birthday brunch and she chose Sally's as the place to hold it. Parking in the area is usually kind of tricky but luckily it was a weekend and there were no problems at all.

I ordered the sausage and avo omelet which came with some potatoes and toast. The flavors were pretty good and skipped the frills, but I did find a black hair in my home fries. That pretty much grossed me out immediately but my hunger ate around that little flaw. Overall, it was pretty decent and the manager was apologetic about the menu mis-pricing snafu too.

On the bright side, Sally's is very pet-friendly and there is some nice outdoor seating. Since you order at the counter people sometimes bring their dogs inside which doesn't bother me one bit. Service was alright but didn't blow my mind, and you pick up your food where you ordered it. I wasn't blown away by the food but the location was pretty nice. I will have to try some of their other menu its next time to get a better feel for the place, but otherwise it was a-ok for our group.
