The venue itself is pretty cool - casual, dog-friendly patio, neat indoor loft sitting area. The chocolate shake is de-friggin'-licious. Everything else, unfortunately, was overpriced and greasy. For the price I'd rather go to Burger Joint (if I'm in the mood for a walk), which also uses Niman Ranch beef, and has larger portions with better fries and milkshakes that you need to eat with a spoon.

After a full conference day, I wanted to meet up with some pals for a bite downtown before the after party. Most of the food downtown is mediocre and expensive so it can be hard to find something that my stomach can really appreciate. The buzz on the street was that Super Duper was worth checking out so we decided to give it a try.

I ordered the super burger with cheese, which is basically a double cheeseburger, garlic fries, and a chocolate shake. At about $15, this was a super expensive meal that is basically fast food. The meat was extremely fresh and juicy and the shake was top notch. However, the fries fell a bit flat for me. The homemade pickles were tasty but a little chilling would add a crunch that would go a long way.

They've got a small patio outside where your dog can chill while you eat. Remember to keep them outside the whole time though since they're not allowed inside. Service is a little slow but the people are pretty nice, but the line moved quickly. I like that they've got some breakout areas to enjoy your meal so it doesn't just feel like a cavernous space. Overall, I'd go back for another.
