Being one of the hottest days of the year, my best bud and I needed something refreshing to cool off with. Opting away from froyo, we decided to share a drink from Surf City Squeeze.

We were intrigued by the idea of the watermelon lemonade so we went sick and got a large. I'm not sure if real watermelon juice was used, but it went a long way in mellowing out the sour flavor of the lemonade. I actually liked that it wasn't as sour as a normal lemonade and watermelon was the perfect compliment on a day like this.

This was my first try with Surf City and while the service and quality was questionable, the lemonade was pretty good. It wasn't exactly cheap either, but considering what we're willing to pay for coffee over at the Starbucks next door, I guess it isn't so bad. There's tons of outdoor seating around the smoothie shack and UTC is a pet-friendly mall, making Surf City a pretty good place to drop into for a drink.
