Tapioca Heaven is one of those places you've been to a few times before but just hasn't really stuck out in one's mind as the "it" place for boba. My friend and I had just finished lunch at Tofu House and weren't really feeling Tapioca Express or Green Tea House and decided to try something "newish" closer to home.
While their full menu isn't clearly listed, the suggestions on the wall are top sellers for a reason. We decided to share the mango shaved ice and I also got a strawberry mango slush. The mango shaved ice was pretty tasty but was a tad too sweet for my tooth. The mangos were nice and fresh and the condensed milk mixed with shaved ice complimented the vanilla ice cream underneath it all. My slush was also extremely sweet and contained a combination of strawberry boba and mango jelly. It was the first time I had been to a place that actually combined the two and that was a definite plus. However, I was a little disappointed that there was no fresh fruit in the drink at all.
Overall, I think I have the same impression of Tapioca Heaven as I did after the first time I went, which is that it is a good place for a varied boba fix, but nothing extraordinary and definitely not a place I would bring a laptop to and hangout for a few hours. The location and ambiance probably have something to do with it but there are also probably better drinks for the money somewhere else. Also, there's only 2 tables outside so if you're bringing your dog it's a good idea to secure a seat before ordering.
