Wine Steals was the location of the kickoff meeting location of a new Meetup group I joined for tech professionals. Known for their large retail selection of wines, it is a beautiful location to gather a group to chat outside over a few glasses of the libation. They've got a beautiful patio where you're welcome to bring your dogs and the view is great. Prices are normally a bit on the high side, but happy hour makes it all go down a little smoother and much cheaper.

Being that it was happy hour, there were several glasses of wine for only $4 and pizza slices were only $2. After tasting a few of their selections, I settled on a fine Ernst & Co. Sauvignon Blanc that had just a hint of dryness and sweet apple overtones. To pair, I decided to try the Pinor Noir pizza which was topped with prosciutto, shaved Asiago cheese, a drizzle of white truffle oil, topped with arugula, and garnished with red bell peppers. While both were delicate individually, together they were deliciously assertive without being pushy. Seriously though, this was definitely some good stuff.

While this was my first time at this location, this was not my first time at Wine Steals. I really enjoy coming here and enjoying a fine bottle of wine while relaxing with friends. This location had a great patio that was a perfect end to a beautiful summer day. Parking may be a bit tough in this area, but the hassle is definitely worth the reward of being able to enjoy a fine glass of wine with a sophisticated slice of their delicious pizza. Just make sure to arrive early because this place gets pretty busy!
