Yogurtland

The froyo craze/gold rush has hit San Diego hard and the two clear front-runners are Yogurtland and Yogurt World, both of whom have Mira Mesa locations. I haven't been the biggest consumer of the stuff since it got here but my buddy wanted to drop in for some and, after a long day of work in the home office, I would have accepted just about any excuse to get out.

If there is a single flavor that I would want every time, it would definitely be something minty. After a quick pass by the different flavors, not a single one fit the bill and I was left with chocolate, chocolate, tart, tart, and tart. After dumping a sprinkle of candy on top, the total bill came out to nearly $4 for a somewhat lackluster novelty.

There's a couple of tables outside where you can tie up your dog while you grab your froyo, and then enjoy it while you (and I don't necessarily recommend this) share some with your buddy. If it's good for people it can't hurt can it? For some reason, the machines at this location sounded like hell. Every time you pulled the lever, it would literally sound like there was a car accident going on outside. I'm not sure if they just needed a shot of WD-40 or what, but it definitely made the experience less enjoyable than at other locations. I hope they spend some of the sacks of crash they're pulling in from the business to fix the problem soon, because there are lots of other yogurt joints for me to choose from.
